I-TEC 3D Display Press Release

January 7, 2010 – Las Vegas – I-TEC Co., Ltd of Japan, parent company of QTEC and strategic partners of VisiSol, will unveil a 3D “glasses-less” display, Blu-ray and DVD player at the Consumer Electronic Show, January 7-10, 2010. The 3D display is believed to be one of only a few with this technology that allows viewers to watch the image in 3D without wearing glasses with different-colored lenses, the standard method of viewing images in 3D. I-TEC will demonstrate the product by appointment only at the VisiSol booth, South Hall #25124.

The 3D imaging is any technique capable of recording three-dimensional visual information or creating the illusion of depth in an image. The illusion of depth in a photograph, movie, or other two-dimensional image is created by presenting a slightly different image to each eye. The technology behind I-TEC’s 3D glasses-less display is taking a visible image and making it 2D by turning on both left and right LED at the same time creating a very smooth shift between 3D/2D images.

I-TEC’s 3D technology, including 3D Blu-ray disk players and 3D displays, will be commercially available in 2010. In addition to the 3D displays products at CES, QTEC and VisiSol will showcase several others including Blu-ray players, DVD players, CD drives, and Digital Audio players.

“I-TEC has a very strong technology development team, many with proprietary patents, and we believe our first 3D displays will be very well received by the trade and consumers,” said Hiroyuki Minamikawa, president of I-TEC. “We look forward to expanding our QTEC brand and the I-TEC business in North America. We are also open to entertaining licensing opportunities with OEM’s and would welcome conversations that could result to those partnerships,” concluded Minamikawa.

3D Tv without wearing glasses is a great idea! Just imagine “running out” of glasses when friendes drop-in! Or when “more than” one person wishes to watch TV!
